今日は五山の送り火と灯篭流しの写真を使ったPart1の問題どす。

On the same day as Gozan Okuribi (August 16), floating lanterns is taking place in Kyoto. Lanterns flows slowly through the river is very fantastic. People pray for the soul of their ancestors and spend a wonderful night in Bon Festival.

• D　A big symbol is shining on the water in the darkness.

★はんなりポイント

the body of waterは「水域」という意味どす。川でも湖でも海でも水やったらなんでもかまへんし、便利な単語やで。TOEICでは頻出の「まとめ語」のひとつとして頭にストックしときましょね。(D) A big symbol やけど、どのくらい大きかったら” big symbol”と言えるのやろか。「Big=大きい」は、主観が入る語やし正解になりにくいえ。選ばないほうがいいしな。
